I wasn't sure what to make of this book when I first picked it up. The core idea is an exploration of the intersection of Western Developmental Psychotherapy and "Fruitional Acceptance", influenced by Buddhism. My initial hesitation was unwarranted, as I quickly found many of the ideas resonated strongly and I was taking highlights on almost every page. It truly changed how I related to different emotions such as anxiety and stress.
