Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery") is a Zen Buddhist art of repairing broken pottery by rebuilding the pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. The results are both beautiful and unique. It is easy to see ourselves or our lives as flawed, unworthy, broken. It's ok to feel this way, because we are flawed. We are human. Sometimes we say the wrong thing, sometimes we do the wrong thing. But be gentle with yourself. You are not the worst thing you have ever done. We can embrace and overcome our flaws, we can apologise for the unkind words or the selfish act. We can resolve to be better.
